"A walk Through My Cũcũ's Farm" at LUCIA Audio Festival in Florence, Italy

LUCIA is a three-day international festival dedicated to the craft of audio storytelling in radio and podcasting. LUCIA festival presents audio narratives from all over the world, celebrating the art of telling stories in sound: through words, collective stories, intimate tales, radio and podcasts, reality and fiction; and is also a platform for exchange and networking between authors and audio makers. This year, it comes back live for a widespread festival, exploring places that are usually closed or difficult to access, to foster a wider constellation of stories, knowledge and relationships around curated listening sessions.

My piece., "A walk Through My Cũcũ's Farm", will be presented at the Botanical Garden "Giardino dei Semplici" which is part of the Museum System of the University of Florence. The botanical garden was founded in 1545 by Cosimo I dei Medic; it is considered - together with the Botanical Garden of Padua - the oldest university botanical garden in the world. The greenhouses of the Botanical Garden will host a selection of stories that - through different languages, from documentary to sound poetry and soundscape - bring us back to nature, to alternative ecologies and to new forms of collaboration between human beings and living beings at large. The session will be anticipated by a guided tour to the garden together with scientists and botanists.
