At the inaugural SQUARE, a festival-conference part of Braga ‘25, Kenyan artist and researcher Nyokabi Kariũki will talk to Joshua Minsoo Kim (Tone Glow) about her research “On learning that one of the first electronic works was by an African, Halim El-Dabh”.
Kilele Summit is a first-of-its-kind music innovation symposium in Nairobi. Following the success of the first edition, the Kilele team in Nairobi we are super excited to welcome you back for the second edition, taking place on February 18-25th, 2025!

A listening session of Temporary Stored II, a project by Kenyan ambient artist KMRU with contributions from Aho Ssan, Jessica Ekomane, Lamin Fofana, Nyokabi Kariũki and Bhavisha Panchia. After the listening, there will be an artist Q&A with Kamaru, Jessica Ekomane and Nyokabi Kariũki.

I join panelists Monthati Masebe, Njabulo Phungula & Andile Khumalo to “discuss the state of African composition today—its present and future, both on the continent and beyond.” Taking place at at The Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW), Berlin.
In the beautiful Kuppellhalle of silent green, i'll be performing my final show of the year! I will bring out my piano fingers for this one. Likely a show marking a transition into a new era of music from yours truly🌷
