“Since its founding in 2008, CHOP SHOP has shared and championed the work of 410+ individual artists from 76 dance companies, welcomed over 1,000 Experience Dance Program participants to free and open to all ages and abilities dance classes, and invited numerous dance students to engage directly with professional artists in more than 70 master classes.

The centerpiece of the 2021 online festival is a series of seven world premiere dance films created by leading local and national artists. Drawn from diverse backgrounds and possessing strong individual voices, the artists are united through the language of dance and its power to stir the senses.”

I was commissioned by Connecticut-based dancer Lauren Horn to write the music for her premiere at the Chop Shop Bodies of Work’s Dance Film Festival. More information on the project will be revealed!
